Armed people
Investigating in photographic archives of the 80's images of the national
armed conflict, I have been very impressed by the portraits of the first guerrilla
columns, where each young people appears with his rifle or carbine, an object that
accompanied them for a long time in those years, an object that became
domestic, close and familiar.
I am interested in the parallelism between these portraits and the
current images of private security agents, a new version of an army that currently
has a presence everywhere, We have naturalized this idea of weapons surrounded
us.
